Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Stride Striking ("the App"), a mobile application provided by Reuben Stone ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Stride Striking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Stride Striking is a solo martial arts training application that provides:

  • Structured training programs and drills
  • Circuit timer functionality
  • Progress tracking and analytics
  • Technique library and coaching content
  • Training journal and session management

The App is designed for personal, non-commercial use to support your martial arts training journey.

3. Subscription Terms

3.1 Free Tier

Stride Striking offers a free tier that includes:

  • Access to "Striking Foundations" 12-week program
  • Up to 3 recurring drills
  • Basic circuit timer functionality
  • Progress tracking and journal features

3.2 Stride Striking Pro Subscription

The Pro subscription unlocks additional features including:

  • Unlimited recurring drills
  • Access to all PRO drills in the library
  • Access to premium training programs (Heavy Bag Basics and future programs)
  • Advanced features as they become available

3.3 Subscription Pricing and Billing

  • Monthly Subscription: £4.99 per month
  • Annual Subscription: £49.99 per year (save 17%)

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

3.4 Managing Your Subscription

You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal through your Apple ID account settings. Subscriptions may be managed by going to your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase.

3.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds will be provided for partial subscription periods.

3.6 Free Trial

If a free trial is offered, you will have access to Pro features for the duration of the trial period. At the end of the trial, you will be automatically charged the subscription fee unless you cancel before the trial ends.

4. User Conduct

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the App in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices on the App
  • Use the App to transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App
  • Share your account credentials with others

5. Health and Safety Disclaimer

Important: Stride Striking is designed to support your martial arts training but is not a substitute for professional instruction, medical advice, or supervision.

  • Always consult with a qualified martial arts instructor before beginning any training program
  • Consult with your physician before starting any new exercise program, especially if you have any pre-existing health conditions
  • Train in a safe environment with appropriate equipment and protective gear
  • Stop immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, or discomfort during training
  • We are not liable for any injuries sustained while using the App or following training programs

You assume all risks associated with your training activities. Martial arts training carries inherent risks, and you are solely responsible for your safety.

6. Intellectual Property

All content in the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, training programs, coaching content, and software, is the property of Reuben Stone and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App content
  • Sell, rent, lease, or sublicense any part of the App
  • Use the App content for commercial purposes without our written permission

7. Privacy and Data

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. Key points:

  • All training data is stored locally on your device
  • We do not track your activity or collect personal data
  • No cloud sync or third-party data sharing
  • Subscription management is handled securely through Apple's App Store

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • The results obtained from using the App will be accurate or reliable
  • Any errors or defects will be corrected
  • The App will meet your specific training goals or requirements

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REUBEN STONE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use or inability to use the App
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
  • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the App
  • Any errors or omissions in the App content
  • Injuries or health issues resulting from training activities

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SUBSCRIPTION IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Reuben Stone and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the App
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
  • Injuries sustained during training activities

11. Changes to the App and Terms

We reserve the right to:

  • Modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice
  • Update these Terms from time to time
  • Change subscription pricing with advance notice to existing subscribers

Continued use of the App after changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without notice, for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Actions that may harm other users or our business

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting the App from your device and canceling any active subscriptions through your Apple ID settings.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through:

  1. Informal Resolution: Contact us at support@stridestriking.com to attempt good-faith resolution
  2. Arbitration: If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the English Arbitration Act

You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit.

14. Refund Policy

All subscription purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's refund policies. We do not directly process payments or issue refunds.

To request a refund:

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com
  2. Sign in with your Apple ID
  3. Find your Stride Striking subscription purchase
  4. Select "Report a Problem" and follow the prompts

Refund approval is at Apple's sole discretion based on their policies.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be replaced with a valid provision that most closely reflects the original intent.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Reuben Stone regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
